OUR EXPERIENCE OF FLORA AND FAUNA OBSERVATION (CAVING)

On March 8 2019, our first day in Perak, we started our first activity of caving at Gua Tempurung in Gopeng, Perak. Gua Tempurung is one of the famous 'batu kapur' caves in Peninsular Malaysia other than Gua Kelam in Perlis. Gua Tempurung which are more than 3 km long are the longest 'batu kapur' caves in Malaysia.

At 1200, we have arrived at the Gua Tempurung. Once we were there, we transferred our belongings to our camping area. After that, we gather for briefing on safety, commands and procedures for about 20 minutes. Then, the adventure begins.

The entrance to the Gua Tempurung. This is where visitors will wear full
safety equipment and briefed about Gua Tempurung

We were briefed on the history of the Gua Tempurung and how it was formed. In addition,
the guide, Abang Ajan, also explain the rules about this cave.

Reached at the platform 5 and begins the 'real adventure'

The situation inside of Gua Tempurung is very clean, comfortable and relaxing.

The guide, Abang Ajan, explain the formation of 'batu kapur' that known as
'Stalactites' & 'Stalagmites'

This is the place where they need to crawl, lie down, need to duck, climb and more

Arrive at the ending point of cave exploration at 1500 hrs

We experience many things that interesting in Gua Tempurung and many new thing that we've learned. We hope that we can come again to Gua Tempurung once again and explore all things
